Aakanksha Manglani celebrates Diwali with the underprivileged children.

Kolkata, 25th Oct, 2019: Diwali is a festival of lights, love and joy, it’s all about lighting up lives of people. With this thought in mind, Aakanksha Manglani, Mrs. India Worldwide East 2018 celebrates Diwali with 25 kids of Mukti Rehabilitation Centre. Aakanksha , being a mother feels that children are gifts of God, so, every child should be treated with equal care and love. On the occasion, the entire Mukti team enjoyed the special celebrations with the children. She lit lanterns with these kids and brought a big smile on everyone’s faces.

Mukti was established in 2002 with a mission to combat the menace of addiction, plaguing our society. With experience, the promoters of Mukti could appreciate that the social problems of addiction was far more deep rooted. The children, particularly from the marginalized section of the society were at greater risk and an intervention from Mukti at this level was required to effectively contribute in this fight against addiction.

Speaking on this occasion Aakansha Manglani, Mrs. India Worldwide East 2018 said,” I have always been very fond of kids, I wanted to bring smile on these innocent faces  who have not been able to celebrate Diwali since years. With this thought I wanted to make this Diwali special for these kids by making Rangoli and burning lanterns in the sky. I wanted to make this day memorable for them. The feeling of watching them smile and enjoying was increadible and non explainable”.

Diwali is just not a festival of lights, it is also a festival to light up people’s lives. Aakanksha wanted to lighten up the lives of these children.
