‘Celebrating 10 years of Arijit Singh in Bollywood’ – A Garia Mitali Sangha Initiative
Kolkata, 8th January, 2020: The seasons of celebrations isn’t over yet and the tales of this festive fervour makes the city of joy dwell in oomph as it awaits to host and celebrate the soulful Indian singer Arijit Singh in February. Mrs. Usha Uttup, Mrs. Mala Ray, Member of Parliament and Mr. Debashis Kumar, MMIC, Parks & Gardens, Sports and Advertisement, KMC and Mr. Subhashish Chakraborty, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and Mr. Mahadev Chakraborty, and Prasanta Kumar Sinha, Joint Secretaries, Garia Mitali Sangha, announced the celebration of the creative genius’s journey at Press Club today. The doyen of Bollywood playback music, Arijit Singh and Garia Mitali Sangha has joined hands to celebrate “10 Years of Arijit Singh in Bollywood” in Kolkata on 2nd February, 2020 at Eco Park, New Town.
For the first time ever Kolkata to host the gifted and celebrated Indian artist Arijit Singh to revel 10 years of the singer’s journey in Bollywood. The event will showcase the singer’s journey from his first break through with the debut song, “Phir Mohabbat“ from Murder 2 to his latest chart busters. Starting with quite a wearisome career Mr. Singh is now regarded as one of the most versatile and successful singers in the history of Indian music and Hindi cinema and bagged fair number of awards and accolades home. The creative genius is coming and will stimulate the euphoric sense of the city, connecting through melodies.
Mr. Mahadev Chakraborty, Joint Secretary, Garia Mitali Sangha opined, “Our objective is to enhance creativity, sustainability, mental health care, social care for the aged, and sports activities. With extra funding the club stands a chance to create a standard ground facilities with innovative gadgets for sports and enhance the societal development.”
Garia Mitali Sangha, located at the Garia Main Road, Kolkata was founded in the year 1937 by eminent members with the sole purpose to serve the nation. Garia Mitali Sangha has been organizing various cultural programs and is pioneer in worshipping 9 forms of ‘Maa Durga’ since its inception known as ‘Garia Naba Gurga’. The committee is very much active celebrating humanity through its charitable activities to accomplish the responsibilities towards the weaker section of the society such as helping eradicate hunger and poverty, promoting education, women empowerment, environmental sustainability as well as raising funds for the underprivileged. The committee also trains kids for football to represent India at the International level. Footballers like Subhas Modak, Abir Dasgupta are students of the Garia Mitali Sangha Football club. The club focuses to create a society that enhances the sports activities among local children with their sustainability.
