Musical concert by Manindra Sangeet Tirtha to keep the sprite of music alive beyond the pandemic
Recently, Manindra Sangeet Tirtha organized a classical music festival; the aim of this program was to keep the sprite of music alive beyond the pandemic. Overcoming many obstacles, the organization has recently started their regular music education classes.
Classical music festival was held at the educational center under the supervision of internationally renowned artist Pandit Koushik Bhattacharjee, the chairman of the organization.
The main artist of the day was Pandit Koushik Bhattacharjee. In the traditional style, the artist enchants everyone through ragas. The artist’s choice on this day was Raga Yaman, Raga Desh and finally Thumri‘Balam ba Kit Gay Sidhare’and ‘Bajubandh Khul Khul’ bringing a unique dimension to the event. Each of these presentations will be released as an audio album in the coming month.
Kaulik Bhattacharjee assisted the artist in harmonium and Shuvajit Paul and Anubrata Banerjee assisted in Tanpura.
