Opposing the arrival of the Prime Minister of India is against the spirit of the Liberation War: CBIR
TARIKUL ISLAM LAVLU, BANGLADESH: Bangladesh-India Relations Center-CBIR considers the opposition of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to attend the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of Independence as opposition to the spirit of the Liberation War.

A statement issued by the CBIR said that the communal evil forces are re-emerging on the eve of the golden jubilee of the independence of sovereign Bangladesh through a bloody war of liberation. These evil forces are not only trying to destroy the great spirit of the liberation war; They are also very active in turning Bangladesh into a friendless and isolated state. The Center for Bangladesh-India Relations (CBIR), like the non-communal-progressive people of the country, is deeply concerned about these attempts to create instability and division in a planned manner in recent times.

At a juncture in history, while the Bengali nation is anxiously awaiting the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence, these miscreants have become the guarantors of the defeated power of Pakistan and are eager to stop the country’s progress. We are also noticing with deep concern that an extremist communal group has deliberately taken to the field in defiance of the government’s program to celebrate the golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of the great architect of Bangladesh, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Some organizations are leading these miscreants. These organizations were trying to destabilize the decade by carrying out the latest program in Bangladesh at different times. Now, in the great war of liberation, the main ally of Bangladesh, Chirbandhupratim, is very active in creating animosity with India. We have learned from various sources, including the media, that these organizations and individuals have become desperate for malpractice with the direct and indirect help of the defeated forces of Bangladesh’s independence.

Dedicated to building a genuine bridge between the people of Bangladesh and India, the CBI is watching with great concern a protest procession under the banner of the so-called ‘Bangladesh Youth Rights Council’ in the heart of the capital Dhaka on 12 March 2021.Where the speakers made a very offensive speech at the state invitation function on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh and called on the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to resist the upcoming visit to Bangladesh. The declaration to prevent the arrival of the Prime Minister of India, the main ally of the great war of liberation on the golden jubilee of independence, is also an extreme disrespect to the countless Indian heroic soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the war of independence.

The CBI thinks that as such malpractices continue to grow, we can clearly see that their goal is to spread a deep blueprint to make Bangladesh a dysfunctional state and to make the country friendless. The basis of Bangladesh’s foreign policy is based on the path shown by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, ‘Friendship with all – not enmity with anyone. By adopting that policy and ideology, Bangladesh is walking on the path of friendship and harmony with other countries including friendly India. This regional stability has become a headache for the conspirators. We think it is very important to bring these evil forces involved in anti-national activities under the law immediately and eradicate the conspiracy. It is also important to uproot the poisonous teeth of these evil forces in order to make the prosperity and uniqueness of the world during the liberation war meaningful and sustainable. On behalf of the Bangladesh-India Relations Center, Shahidul Hasan Khokon, Director of the Bangladesh-India Relations Center, urged the government to take steps to stop such events.
