POULOMI GHOSE DASTIDAR AN UNSUNG STORY IN MELODIOUS MUSIC
When pandemic has created havoc for all and mental stress is at the pick of its fatality, few avenues can change and uplift you from the core, one such element of life if music.
Ms. Poulomi Ghosh Dastidar one such versatile singer & performer, started her musical journey from her childhood by performing at the Akashvani Kolkata(AIR). A journey crossed many cross roads of life and blossomed into a matured artist with many shades through her voice.She got her training in music from her father, Sri Ranjit Basu Roy, a music composer & her mother Smt Dali Basu Roy, a Classical Vocalist.
Her first music album was released in 1994,which was a Ghazal album and the journey began for a illustrated musical path. Till date she has 14 released albums some of which featured many eminent vocal artists for her era.
Live musical shows from popular Bollywood Retro, Ghazal, Sufi, also performed in regional folk events such as Rajasthani folk, Gujarati Dandiya is one of her favourite act to keep herself busy in pandemic.
At present she is the lead vocalist of Kolkata based Sufi Bollywood Fusion Band SUFIANAA. Truely A Miles to go with music before I sleep.
