Cyber Security Awareness Rally on November 30 – National Computer Security Day
The City of Joy is going to witness its first ever Cyber Security Awareness to create mass awareness about cyber security, the Indian School of Ethical Hacking (ISOEH) conceptualised , a rally on cyber security on November 30. The rally will be flagged at SDF Building, Salt Lake, Sector V in the presence of Debashis Sen, Managing Director, WBHIDCO, Dr.Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, MAKAUT, West Bengal, Suvaprasanna Bhattachharjee, renowned painter, Richa Sharma, Actress, Former Mrs. India International and Grand Master Dibyendu Barua. Around 400 young students, senior citizens and corporate will participate in the rally with tableau, quiz , posters & slogans.
National Computer Security Day demands our attention every November 30 because cyber security affects everything, right from where we bank to how we spend our money .Keeping people and companies safe online is a top priority around the world. It’s something that stays at the top of our minds on National Computer Security Day.
In just the past year itself India recorded 50,035 cases of cyber-crime in 2020, with an 11.8% per cent surge over the previous year, as 578 incidents of “fake news on social media” were also reported according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data. In 2019, the country recorded 44,735 cases of cyber-crime, while the figures stood at 27,248 for 2018. Sandeep Sengupta, Managing Director, ISOEH said – “We are extremely happy to organise this kind of unique rally.” He also emphasised that, “Cyber Security Awareness means taking a proactive approach to protect one’s identity and assets online.”
Indian School of Ethical Hacking (ISOEH) is a group of ethical hackers (CEH, OSCP, OSCE, CISSP, CISA, CHFI, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GDPR auditor) with individual industry experience of 20 years alongside, onsite experience of working in India & abroad. They have also trained CID, Kolkata Police, Sales Tax and CRPF personnel among other prestigious organisations apart from thousands of students.
ISOEH established in 2006 holds a prominent presence across various cities of West Bengal including Kolkata, Siliguri & Bhubaneshwar. Plans are afoot to expand in more places pan India during 2022.
