6th Mar 2022:

Report Suman Munshi & Photograph : Ms. Srinika Munshi

The city of Joy slowly coming back to life after two years of Davil’s Dance in the name of pandemics around the world. The foodies of Kolkata found it very difficult to satisfy their need for the taste buds with the live ambiance of food and chefs.

Barbeque Nation, India’s leading casual dining restaurant chain, announced the launch of its 164th outlet in the city of Kolkata to solve this overdue demand of northern suburbs of Kolkata and District Head Quarter of North 24 Pargana. If you went to any live kitchen restaurants, you will find the stereotype Grills and tandoori but here the Grill and Charcol smoky smell coming out of your own table are the flavors of Barbeque Nation.

With a pocket pinch of around Rs. 1400-1500 two can enjoy the same good old Park Street aura right at Barasat Westside Mall 2nd Floor.

Spread over an area of 5700 square feet, can accommodate 148 guests in one sitting. The grand new outlet is located in : Barasat, Dak Bangalow More, N-19, Jessore Rd, Digberia, Kolkata, West Bengal 700124. The Restaurant was inaugurated by Ngo Kids of 15 from Hridaypur Srija Foodies in Barasat, now stand a chance to experience the joy of grilling their own vegetarian and non-vegetarian Barbeques on live grills, embedded on the tables at the restaurant, and sports a white-orange logo, with a crown on top of the brand name which is in line with Barbeque Nation’s new theme of décor. Barbeque Nation, the pioneer of ‘DIY’ (do-it-yourself) cuisine with a concept of the live on-the-table grill, is the largest casual dining brand in the country. Apart from offering a delectable menu, the ambiance at the restaurant follows a theme that radiates a rustic feel with exposed brick walls and sizzling skewers on tables that double as live kitchen.

The eat-all-you-can buffet at Barbeque Nation showcases an array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian spread. The famous starters on offer will include Unlimited Prawns, Fish, Chicken, Mixed Grill Veg, Barbeque Nation Signature dish Cajun Spiced Potato. To satiate the sweet tooth, the dessert menu comprises Chocolate Walnut Brownie, Gulab Jamun, and Kesari Phirnee, along with a wide range of Kulfis at the restaurant’s most famous Kulfi Nation counter, where guests can mix various flavours and create different combinations.

Mr. Subhrajit Saha, Asst. Regional Manager East India, Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd said, “It has been an absolute delight serving the people of Barasat with an outlet in and with the launch of our new outlet in Barasat, we look forward to serving the guests of Barasat. At Barbeque Nation, we lay special emphasis on variety and taste to sooth the taste buds of our guests and make it an unforgettable experience for them. Likewise, we want the diners in Jubilee Hills to experience the art of, living on the table grilling, and enjoying the ambiance with an impeccable buffet.

We tasted the food overall quality is good but Fish Grill and Mutton, Biriyani and choice of drinks are awesome. However, on the opening days, some of the items came late like the Prawn Grill, we could not justify the taste after having a wonderful set of Deserts.
