Dr. Moon Chattaraj: Setting New Standards in Woman Entrepreneurship

Dr. Moon Chattaraj is not your run-of-the-mill medical professional. Apart from being a specialist in implantology and prosthodontics, and one of the best in the city, she is also known to be a fabulous entrepreneur who is set to redefine the medical entrepreneurship scene in the city.

What sets apart Dr. Moon is her passion for excellence – be it in academics or entrepreneurship, she sets benchmarks for the rest in all spheres. This is probably the only reason why one of the co-founders of Emami R.S. Goenka has been her mentor and has guided her all through. “Mr. Goenka has not only been my mentor but a father figure to me who has guided me all through. Yes, in academics I have a stellar record, but business was not really my domain – however, under Mr. Goenka, I have learned a lot and am poised to grow much more.”

As a dentist, Dr. Moon has performed the greatest number of flawless implants in Eastern India (35,000 as of date). Apart from that, she has performed the greatest number of full mouth restorations and has created more than 500 stunning smiles. Her primary area of interest has been implanting dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation and her patients have included top politicians, industrialists, renowned celebrities, diplomats, etc. However, though she treats the rich and famous, Dr. Moon is a keen participant in volunteering activities and other charitable endeavors and has helped several economically needy people to get a totally new makeover that changed their lives forever.

Awarded the Best Young Female Entrepreneur Award in 2020 by Dr. Shashi Panja and Smt. Chandrima Bhattacharya of the West Bengal government’s Department of Women, Children, and Social Welfare – Dr. Moon is all set to relaunch her business venture, which will set a new standard of entrepreneurship among entrepreneurs in Bengal.
