METRO RAILWAY ACHIEVES REMARKABLE SCRAP SALES IN THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2022-2023

Metro Railway has achieved remarkable scrap sales in the financial year 2022-2023. Through this sale, Metro Railway has earned Rs 10.12 crores during 2022-23 against the Railway Board’s target of Rs 10 crores. Metro earned Rs 8.30 crore during 2021-22 from scrap sales. This is 21.93% higher than the last fiscal. In this process, Metro Railway has completed the disposal of all old and unserviceable items, various condemned transformers and electrical panels, engineering scrap items, and many other non-ferrous scrap items.
Metro Railway administration makes all-out efforts to dispose of scrap materials and sell through e-auction, thus resulting in maintaining transparency, probity, and clarity over the whole process. As a result, it has yielded a significant result to surpass the Railway Board’s stipulated target.
This is a praiseworthy performance by Metro Railway to dispose of scrap in the fastest manner under the dynamic and able leadership of Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager has congratulated ‘Team Metro’ for achieving this remarkable feat.
Our efforts will not cease here but instead, we will continue with more determination and enthusiasm and strive to become a Scrap Free Zone.
