To celebrate the first anniversary of India’s first health station, Theism Belgachia, a free medical consultation and checkup camp was organized by Theism Diagnostics and Metro Railway Kolkata.
Started as a pilot project one year back, Theism Belgachia was a unique private-public partnership initiative directed to encourage the easy accessibility of healthcare facilities for people and to promote the cause of disease prevention, which has a number of benefits. As part of this initiative, Theism Diagnostics, the healthcare arm of the 50-year-old Theism Group conglomerate, joined hands with Metro Railway Kolkata to establish the concept of health on the go. As part of this project, a primary healthcare kiosk, fully equipped with ECG, pathology, and first response facilities was set up within the station premises. Within a year of operation, it has already served more than 50000 commuters in various capacities.
The one-year anniversary of Theism Belgachia, which coincides with Doctors’ Day, will see a general, orthopedic, and dental checkup camp being organized by doctors on the premises. Further, it will see a general campaign created to spread health awareness among commuters. The camp shall be inaugurated by senior principal officers of the Metro Railway. The top brass of Theism Group shall be especially present for the occasion.
