TRAFFIC BLOCK IN SEALDAH DIVISION

Kolkata, August 25, 2023:

Track maintenance is of utmost importance in Railways. Regular track maintenance helps prevent disruption & delays, reduces the need for major repairs and replacement, ensures trains run on schedule, and provides a dependable transportation service to the public. Accordingly, two separate Traffic Block have been planned for track maintenance work at Basuldanga station in the Baruipur – Diamond Harbour section and at Bongaon station in the Sealdah – Bangaon section on 26/27.08.2023 (Saturday/Sunday). Consequently, the following arrangements for train running have been made :

Short Termination/Short Origination on 26/27.08.2023:

34860 Sealdah – Diamond Harbor Local will be short-terminated at Magrahat instead of Diamond Harbour on 26.08.2023
34811 Diamond Harbour – Sealdah Local will be short originated from Magrahat instead of Diamond Harbor on 27.08.2023
33863 Sealdah – Bongaon Local will be short-terminated at Chandpara instead of Bongaon on 26.08.2023
33812 Bongaon – Seladah Local will be short originated from Chandpara instead of Bongaon on 27.08.2023

Moreover, 33814 Bongaon – Sealdah Local will be rescheduled by 10 minutes from Bongaon.

The inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.
