IIM Jammu to hold a three-day Orientation Programme for the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu will be holding a holistic 3-day Orientation Program for the 3rd Batch of Integrated Programme in Management from 01st Sept to 4th Sept 2023 at its state-of-the-art permanent campus at Jagti, Jammu. The three-day holistic orientation programme is meticulously crafted to provide the students with a well-rounded introduction to their academic journey, fostering personal growth, and enhancing their understanding of various facets of education and life.
The idea associated with this Orientation Program is to acquaint the incoming students with the culture, academic opportunities, ethos, and general rules of IIM Jammu. The programme will help in facilitating a welcoming environment for the new aspiring students and their families to meet and have open communication with the faculty, staff, senior students, and all key activity heads of the Institute under one roof.
Each day of the Orientation Programme will commence at 6:00 AM with ‘Maximize Happiness and Mindfulness’ sessions conducted by Mr. Sahil Mehra, Yoga Guru. It is imperative to build strength, awareness as well as harmony in both mind and body.
The programme will be formally inaugurated on 01st Sept 2023. Dr. Milind Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, will deliver the inaugural presidential address. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will deliver the welcome address. The orientation programme will also be featuring a session on Academics at IIM Jammu by Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, IIM Jammu including various interactive and enriching sessions by the faculty and officers of IIM Jammu.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, of IIM Jammu mentioned that the three-day holistic Orientation Programme of IIM Jammu will feature a wide spectrum of interactive sessions, workshops, and engaging activities. The comprehensive itinerary is designed to equip the new batch with essential skills, knowledge, and values needed to excel in their academic pursuits and beyond.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics, IIM Jammu mentioned that at IIM Jammu, we believe in nurturing not just academic excellence but also holistic growth. The 3-day orientation programme is designed to provide our incoming IPM batch with a well-rounded introduction to their academic journey, focusing on critical thinking, leadership skills, and character development.
Dr. Ateeque Shaikh, Chairperson, IPM, IIM Jammu reiterated that the 3-day Holistic Orientation Programme promises to be a transformative experience for the incoming IPM batch, incorporating a diverse range of sessions aimed at not only building academic proficiency but also fostering holistic development, and cultural enrichment.
Prominent speakers and leading names from the corporates ranging from Mr. Ajit Yohannan, Marketing Manager – India, OpenText, Mr. Warner Jude Gonsalvez, Talent Acquisition Director – India, RSM US LLP, Ms. Kavita Rana, Sr. DGM & Head HR, Agilus Diagnostics, Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati, Ms. Neha Gupta, Director, Deloitte and Mr. Devarshy R. Ganguly, Head of Marketing, Magic Bricks will be attending the orientation programme. The orientation programme will also feature Inbound and outbound Activities for students facilitated by faculty members of IIM Jammu along with a cultural programme by the Malhar Committee, IIM Jammu.
