Drive Hridaya releases “Car-nival” a unique calendar to showcase rare moments of celebrities with Vintage-classic cars for a noble cause

The ‘Drive Hridaya’ Car Rally, organized by the Rotary Club of Calcutta Old City, is Kolkata’s grandest event of its kind. Now in its fifth year, this rally is more than just a thrilling car race and an adventurous treasure hunt. It has become a powerful means for us to touch the lives of less privileged children. Through this heartfelt event, they have successfully funded 48 heart operations for these little superheroes, ensuring their well-being and happiness. To add more color to this they are all set to release an eye-catching calendar ‘Car-nival’ in association with Surojit Kala featuring rare moments of celebrities from the film and music industry with their favourite cars. As participants even celebrity guests join this drive with their cars, keeping it in mind they have selected moments that are just timeless to encourage participants that legends from yesteryears had a passion for cars too.

Be it Kishore Kumar posing with the vintage car from Chalti Ka Naam Gadi, Amitabh Bachchan, and Anil Kapoor posing with a big Rolls Royce, Satyajit Ray with his 1930 Chrysler which he used in Abhijaan, R.D.Burman is seen sitting on the road in front of his Fiat two doors are opened, Mohd Rafi and his wife Bilquis Rafi are seen with their Chevrolet Chevelle. Rafi Saab is sitting on the car’s bonnet with his wife standing by his side, Uttam Kumar posing with his favourite Morris, Dev Anand with a Chevrolet Flip Master in Chetan Anand’s classic film Taxi Driver, and many more. Beside them, it features moments of Charlie Chaplin, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Rituparna Sengupta with cars. This calendar is really a collector’s delight. Through this unique calendar, the Rotary Club of Calcutta Old City aims to spread awareness about their initiative “Drive Hridaya”.

Surojit Kala, Chairman, Hridaya, says, ” Our mission is to keep their tiny hearts beating strong, and in doing so, we aim to bring smiles to their faces through this fun-filled event. This is the biggest car rally as more than two hundred cars are participating this year. “
