DIVISIONAL RAILWAY MANAGER, SEALDAH LAYS FOUNDATION STONE OF EASTERN RAILWAY’S DIVISIONAL TRAINING PARK FOR BHARAT SCOUTS & GUIDES, SEALDAH DISTRICT ASSOCIATION
Kolkata, March 03, 2024:
In a momentous occasion for the development of young minds and fostering social responsibility, Shri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sealdah, laid the foundation stone for the construction of an Eastern Railway’s Divisional Training Park for the Sealdah District Association of Bharat Scouts & Guides. The park envisioned as a dedicated space for training and development activities for scouts and guides, will be located beside Naihati Station.
Shri Nigam emphasized the importance of the Bharat Scouts & Guides movement in shaping responsible and well-rounded citizens. He commended the dedication and efforts of the Sealdah District Association and expressed his full support for the construction of the training park.
This training park will provide a much-needed platform for scouts and guides to improve their skills, learn new values, and contribute towards nation-building. Sri Nigam also stated I am confident that this facility will serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations to come.
The Divisional Training Park will boast several amenities, including:
• Multipurpose training hall: Equipped for workshops, seminars, and indoor activities.
• Outdoor training area: Designed for camping, physical training, and adventure activities.
• Amphitheatre: Facilitating cultural events and community gatherings.
• Nature trail: Promoting environmental awareness and appreciation.
The event was also graced by the presence of Sr.DSTE/Sealdah & District Chief Commissioner (Scout) Md Nasir and Sr.DME Co./Sealdah District Commissioner (Scout) Sri Rohit Ranjan. They all lauded the initiative and expressed their confidence in its positive impact on the lives of young people.
