Indian Army Conducts Commemorates World Mental Health Day across Northeastern States
On 10 October 2024, the Indian Army demonstrated its commitment to mental health awareness through a series of events held across various regions.
Spear Corps warriors conducted a mental health workshop and panel discussion at Government Higher Secondary School, Bordumsa town, Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh. Over 60 students and 10 teachers actively participated, engaging in discussions about mental health challenges and their solutions. The event aimed to foster a supportive and inclusive community by addressing the critical issues faced by young minds.
Simultaneously, at Leimakhong Military Station in Manipur, the Indian Army organized health lectures for troops and their families. The session, attended by 45 women, 13 JCOs, and 48 ORs, emphasized the importance of a healthy mind for a healthy life. Medical officers and the Religious Teacher from the Indian Army highlighted the signs of mental distress and ways to cope with everyday struggles.
