CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT JAHAJ GHAT ON THE BANKS OF BRAHMAPUTRA

Army Public School Tezpur, under the aegis of Gajraj Corps, organised a cleanliness drive at Jahaj Ghat on the banks of the Brahmaputra River in collaboration with Poruwa Lowe Primary School, District Administration, and Tezpur Municipal Board on Friday.
A total of 80 students, including NCC cadets of Army Public School Tezpur, along with 18 students from Poruwa Lower Primary School, actively participated in the drive under the supervision of teachers. The students collected plastic waste, bottles, wrappers, and other non-biodegradable materials from the riverfront and adjoining areas.
Apart from the cleanliness activity, students also conducted awareness interactions with visitors and local residents, encouraging them to maintain cleanliness in public places and preserve the ecological importance of the Brahmaputra riverfront.
Officials of the Tezpur Municipal Board appreciated the initiative and emphasised the need for sustained community participation in environmental conservation and cleanliness drives.
The event showcased the continued commitment of Army Public School Tezpur and Gajraj Corps towards youth engagement, environmental stewardship, and meaningful community outreach initiatives aimed at nation-building.
