SHRI PREM SAGAR GUPTA APPOINTED AS NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF METRO RAILWAY

The Railway Ministry has appointed Shri Prem Sagar Gupta as the new General Manager of Metro Railway, Kolkata. Shri Gupta is a highly distinguished civil engineer of the IRSE-1990 Batch. Prior to this, he was the Principal Chief Engineer (PCE), Northern Railway. Shri Gupta graduated in Civil Engineering with a Gold Medal from Delhi College of Engineering and became the topper in M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He did his M.Phil. from the National Defence College (NDC).
He has vast administrative experience at different highest levels, like Principal Executive Director / CE (Planning) and Executive Director (Corporate Coordination) at the Ministry of Railways / Railway Board. Shri Gupta has also played a pivotal role as the Chief Engineer (Design) in delivering engineering solutions for structural stability challenges on the high-profile Chenab Bridge and other important structures of the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link Project.
