GENERAL MANAGER ADMINISTERS WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY PLEDGE AT METRO RAIL BHAVAN

Metro Railway observed World Environment Day 2026 with a pledge-taking ceremony at Metro Rail Bhavan today. Shri Prem Sagar Gupta, General Manager, Metro Railway, administered the World Environment Day pledge to officers and staff, reaffirming Metro Railway’s commitment towards environmental protection and sustainable development.

Principal Heads of Departments, senior officers, and employees from various departments participated in the programme and pledged to adopt environment-friendly practices and promote environmental awareness among the public.

A tree plantation programme at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital was also organized to spread the message that every individual can play a meaningful role in building a greener and more sustainable future.

As part of the World Environment Day observance, a seminar on Energy Conservation and Environment Management was also organized at Metro Rail Bhavan. The seminar highlighted the importance of efficient energy utilization, sustainable practices and the role of individuals and organizations in mitigating environmental challenges. Officers and employees participated in the seminar and exchanged views on various measures to promote environmental sustainability.
