22 Nations Issue Joint Statement Condemning Alleged Iranian State Threat Activities Across Europe, North America and Australia

A coalition of 22 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and several other European nations, has issued a joint statement expressing concern over what they describe as alleged hostile activities linked to Iranian state security organizations across Europe, North America, and Australia.
According to the joint statement released on June 10, 2026, the participating governments condemned what they characterized as lethal plots and other malign activities allegedly carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Intelligence Organisation (IRGC-IO), the Quds Force, and Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS). The statement specifically referred to alleged threats targeting Iranian dissidents, journalists, and Jewish and Israeli communities and interests.
The signatory nations said they remain united in their commitment to protecting their citizens and national security from such threats and called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to halt these activities.
The statement further alleged that Iranian security services have maintained long-standing relationships with international and local criminal groups and criticized the reported use of such networks to conduct operations abroad.
In addition, the governments condemned what they described as a recent campaign of attacks across Europe targeting Jewish communities, Iranian journalists, and U.S. interests, which they said had been claimed by Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya and supported through intermediaries.
The joint declaration stated that attempts to kill, kidnap, harass, intimidate, or otherwise attack individuals on foreign soil undermine national sovereignty and international norms. The participating countries emphasized that such actions must cease immediately and affirmed their intention to continue cooperating and adopting further measures to counter these alleged threats.
The statement was jointly issued by the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.
At the time of the statement, it reflected the position of the signatory governments. The statement did not include a response from the Government of Iran within the text released.
