Kolkata, June 11, 2026:
Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava International Limited hosted the “Insiders Meet – Kolkata Edition” at JW Marriott Kolkata, bringing together technology creators, media professionals, and gadget enthusiasts for an interactive showcase of its latest products and future strategy centered on “Made in India” innovation.

The event served as a platform for direct engagement between Lava’s leadership team and the technology community, offering participants hands-on experience with the company’s newest smartphones, audio devices, and accessories while discussing advancements in artificial intelligence and indigenous product development.

Showcasing the Latest Product Portfolio

Visitors were introduced to Lava’s expanding smartphone lineup spanning multiple market segments, including the Agni, Blaze, Shark, Bold, and Smart series, along with its range of audio accessories.

Agni Series: Flagship Indian Innovation

Among the highlights was the Agni 4, positioned as Lava’s premium flagship smartphone. The device features the company’s in-house Vayu AI technology, an AMOLED display, and advanced camera capabilities, reflecting Lava’s focus on combining indigenous design with artificial intelligence.

Blaze Duo 3 Targets Mid-Range Consumers

The company also showcased the Blaze Duo 3, featuring a dual-display design aimed at enhancing multitasking and privacy. Lava said the product has been developed to address practical user requirements rather than simply competing on technical specifications.

SHARK 2 5G and Shark Series

The event also featured the newly introduced SHARK 2 5G, along with the broader Shark portfolio. Designed for the budget 5G segment, the series focuses on delivering next-generation connectivity while maintaining battery performance, durability, and a clean software experience.

According to the company, the Shark lineup has become its highest-contributing smartphone portfolio since 2025, reflecting growing demand for affordable 5G devices priced below ₹15,000.

Bold and Smart Series

Lava’s Bold series targets consumers seeking dependable smartphones at entry-level price points, while the Smart series is designed for first-time smartphone users transitioning from feature phones. The company highlighted clean Android software, durability, and affordability as key features of the Smart lineup.

Dialogue with the Technology Community

The “Insiders Meet” was conceived as a community-driven initiative encouraging open discussions between Lava executives and content creators, technology experts, and media representatives. Conversations during the event focused on the company’s product roadmap, artificial intelligence integration, local manufacturing, and future innovations.

The initiative aims to strengthen engagement with India’s technology ecosystem by incorporating user feedback and industry perspectives into product development.

Expansion Plans and Market Growth

Lava stated that its recent growth has been driven by a consumer-focused strategy, refreshed brand positioning, and an expanding portfolio covering smartphones, feature phones, and audio products.

The company currently has a retail presence across more than 1.10 lakh outlets nationwide and reported approximately 50% growth in its smartphone business during the previous year, indicating stronger consumer acceptance and an improving market position.

The company identified East India as a strategic growth market and announced plans to double its retail reach during the current year while aiming to double smartphone sales volumes, reflecting confidence in the continued demand for value-oriented smartphones in India.

Focus on User Experience

Lava also emphasized its commitment to delivering a bloatware-free Android experience, free from unnecessary pre-installed applications. Additionally, the company highlighted its Service@Home after-sales support initiative, aimed at improving customer convenience and enhancing the overall ownership experience.

With increasing emphasis on indigenous innovation, artificial intelligence, and affordable technology solutions, Lava continues to position itself as one of India’s leading homegrown smartphone brands competing in the evolving domestic mobile market.
