TECHNICAL ISSUE AFFECTS VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS SERVICE – SWIFT ACTIONS UNDERWAY

The Howrah Division regrets to announce that due to a technical glitch in the under gear of the VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS – 22301 Howrah to Jalpaiguri, the train was declared unfit for operation on today. In the interest of passenger safety and seamless travel, a swift response was initiated, with the immediate scheduling of a substitute Yuva Express rake.
Taking the situation grievous and ensuring commitment to provide a safe journey, Shri Sanjeev Kumar, DRM Howrah with all his officers, personally monitored the entire activities to provide amenities commensurate with Vande Bharat. It resulted departure of said train from Howrah station within an hour of the scheduled departure time.
Efforts to expedite the repair process are already in motion and a replacement spring critical for the repair is routed via airlift and is expected to reach Howrah to ensure the next running of the prestigious Vande Bharat Express with its original rake.
