REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LIMITED-HEIGHT SUBWAY
Kolkata, December 14, 2023:
In a significant stride towards enhancing safety and convenience for local commuters, Eastern Railway is constructing a Limited Height Subway (LHS) in lieu of Level Crossing Gates No. 65/C/E (between Badkulla & Krishnanagar stations) and Gate No. 79/C/E (between Bethuadahari & Debagram stations). Local residents and commuters using these gates will experience increased convenience and reduced travel time, contributing to an improved quality of life. The LHS also significantly reduces the risk associated with Level crossing providing a safer passage for both pedestrians and vehicles.
This strategic initiative aims to eliminate train detentions, facilitating a smoother and more comfortable journey for passengers. By replacing Level Crossing Gates with Limited Height Subways, Eastern Railway aims to significantly reduce train detention times, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. The new infrastructure contributes to improved safety measures by eliminating the potential risks associated with level crossings, providing a secure environment for both train operations and road users. Accordingly, for the construction of the Limited Height Subway on the Ranaghat – Lalgola section, 10 hours (from 09:50 hrs. to 19:50 hrs.) Traffic and Power Block has been planned UP and Down both lines at Level Crossing Gate No. 65/ C/E and Gate No. 79/ C/E on 16.12.2023 (Saturday). Consequently, the following arrangements for train running have been made on 16.12.2023 (Saturday):-
Cancellation of trains (on 16.12.2023):
Sealdah – Krishnanagar: UP 31819/ DOWN 31822
Kolkata – Lalgola: UP 03193/ DOWN 03194
Ranaghat – Lalgola : UP 31773, 31769, 31771 / DOWN 31768, 31770, 31774.
Krishnanagar – Lalgola: UP 31861/ DOWN 31864
Sealdah – Lalgola : UP 03115, 03183 / DOWN 03196, 03190
Short Termination/ Short Origination (on 16.12.2023): 30145 (BBD Bag – Krishnanagar) will be short-terminated at Ranaghat.
31821 (Sealdah – Krishnanagar) will be short-terminated at Badkulla and 31824 (Krishnanagar – Sealdah) will be short originated from Badkulla instead of Krishnanagar.
31825 (Sealdah – Krishnanagar) will be short terminated at Badkulla and 31828 (Krishnanagar – Sealdah) will be short originated from Badkulla instead of Krishnanagar.
31827 (Sealdah – Krishnanagar) will be short-terminated at Badkulla and 31830 (Krishnanagar – Sealdah) will be short originated from Badkulla instead of Krishnanagar.
31829 (Sealdah – Krishnanagar) will be short-terminated at Badkulla and 31832 (Krishnanagar – Sealdah) will be short originated from Badkulla instead of Krishnanagar.
31831 (Sealdah – Krishnanagar) will be short terminated at Badkulla and 31834 (Krishnanagar – Sealdah) will be short originated from Badkulla instead of Krishnanagar.

Rescheduling on 16.12.2023 (Saturday):
13114 Lalgola – Kolkata Hazarduari Express and 03189 Sealdah – Lalgola Passenger will be rescheduled for 60 minutes and 40 minutes respectively.
03192 Lalgola – Sealdah Passenger will be short originated from Krishnapur instead of Lalgola and rescheduled by 210 minutes.
Diversion:
03184 (Lalgola – Sealdah) will be diverted via Shantipur (Krishnanagar – Shantipur Single Line) from Krishnanagar Jn. on 16.12.2023.
The inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.
However, Four pairs of special trains will run between Lalgola & Debagram on 16.12.2023. In the Down direction, the special train will leave Lalgola at 09:00 hrs. & 11:15 hrs., 14:00 hrs and 15:30 hrs to reach Debagram at 10:35 hrs., 12:50 hrs., 15:35 hrs and 17:05 hrs respectively and in UP direction the special train will leave Debagram at 11:20 hrs, 13:20 hrs, 16:00 hrs and 17:20 hrs to reach Lalgola at 13:00 hrs, 15:00 hrs, 17:40 hrs and 18:50 hrs respectively.
