Char Diker Golpo, a film by Pranabes Chandra gets released on YouTube from the big screen
Char Diker Golpo, a film by Pranabes Chandra, was recently screened at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. The cast and crew were present on the day. Later, the film was released on Chandracoen’s official YouTube channel.
Char Diker Golpo ties four short stories together in a very simple way. Stories gets unfold during a train journey from Howrah to North Bengal. This
film by Pranabes Chandra weaves four different stories in a neat way under the guise of telling a story. In the train journey, two passengers are in a compartment, one of whom directs the film and writes the story (Samadarshi Dutta), while the other is the marketing head of a detergent company (Indrashis Acharya), although he loves to write stories. After the turn of telling the story begins, the four stories are presented beautifully.
The story of an artist’s failure. A story of an idol maker own achievements gets into the darkness, another story of adapting to injustice for the sake of his own well-being, another story of not being able to fulfill his personal interests in the face of a greater duty, and in the end, the story of not becoming anything himself to do good to others. Four stories with four sides.
The film was screened, awarded and praised at various international film festivals. The film was released on Chandracone’s official YouTube channel.
The film’s director Pranabes Chandra said, “The film is a story of four sides in a very simple way. Keeping the reality of life in mind, four different stories have been woven into one thread. I hope everyone will like this film.” Special guest singer Surjit Chatterjee, who was present, said, “I like Pranabes’s works very much. Even though he is an advertisement film maker when he makes a film, he can separate the two mediums very efficiently.”
