  2. Senior Citizens’ Day, ‘Chiro Tarun’, will be celebrated on 30 January. Children’s Day will be celebrated on 1 February 2026.
  3. There will be nine entry and exit gates in the IKBF. Two gates will be based on Argentine architecture. There will be Gates in the name of Prafulla Roy, Pratul Mukhopadhyay, who left us in the near past. To commemorate the 125th birth year of Sailajananda Mukhopadhyay, another Gate will be named after him. The Little Magazine pavilion will be named after poet Rahul Purakaystha. There will be a Mayukh Chowdhury Children’s Pavilion to commemorate his birth centenary.

As such, a huge number of booklovers from all over Kolkata, Howrah, and other districts will avail Metro to reach the Book Fair venue. On our request, Metro Railway authorities have decided to increase the frequency of the Metro Service. The last Metro will be available around 10 pm on all the Fair days.
