Social Organization Leader Writes Open Letter to Chief Minister, Praises Eid Gathering and Calls for Inclusive Development
Kolkata: Faruque Ahamed, General Secretary of the All India Nabachetana organization, has addressed an open letter to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, expressing appreciation for the successful organization of the Eid-ul-Adha congregational prayers at Kolkata’s historic Brigade Parade Ground.
In his letter, Ahamed described the event as a symbol of communal harmony and social unity, thanking the Chief Minister for facilitating what he termed a “historic and visionary initiative.” He stated that the gathering had created a sense of hope and positivity among residents and highlighted the government’s message of peace, prosperity, and social cohesion during the festive period.
The letter also referred to the recent political transition in the state, noting that a new government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had assumed office in West Bengal. According to Ahamed, the change in administration reflected a new phase in Bengal’s political landscape and generated expectations for accelerated development and governance reforms.
Emphasizing the importance of inclusive growth, Ahamed expressed hope that the government would continue to work for the welfare of all sections of society, including the Muslim community and other marginalized groups. He called for the implementation of balanced and equitable policies in line with the principle of development for all.
The social leader further praised what he described as the Chief Minister’s willingness to engage with opposition parties and consider diverse viewpoints in administrative decision-making. He said such efforts could strengthen democratic governance and foster greater public confidence.

আপনার ঐতিহাসিক ও দূরদর্শী সিদ্ধান্তের কারণেই এবার কলকাতার ঐতিহ্যবাহী ব্রিগেড প্যারেড ময়দানে পবিত্র ঈদ-উল-আযহার জামাত সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এই মহতী ও শুভ উদ্যোগের জন্য রাজ্যের আপামর জনসাধারণের পক্ষ থেকে আপনাকে জানাই আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ ও কৃতজ্ঞতা। সাম্প্রতিককালে ধর্মীয় সম্প্রীতি ও মেলবন্ধনের এই ঐতিহাসিক দৃশ্য প্রতিটি রাজ্যবাসীর মনে এক বিশেষ আলোড়ন ও আশার সৃষ্টি করেছে। উৎসবের এই পুণ্য দিনগুলোতে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে আপনি যেভাবে সর্বত্র শান্তি, সমৃদ্ধি ও সৌহার্দ্যের বার্তা দিয়েছেন, তা সত্যিই প্রশংসনীয়।

আমরা দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করি, আপনার নেতৃত্বাধীন এই নতুন সরকার জনকল্যাণে একাধিক যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করবে। বিশেষ করে, ভারতীয় মুসলিম সমাজ-সহ রাজ্যের প্রতিটি পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষের সার্বিক উন্নয়ন অব্যাহত রাখতে আপনার সরকার ‘সবকা সাথ, সবকা বিকাশ’ নীতির স্মরণে সম-পলিসি বা সুষম নীতি বাস্তবায়ন করবে—এই প্রত্যাশা আমরা রাখতেই পারি।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসেবে বাংলার সর্বস্তরের মানুষের কল্যাণে কাজ করার এক বিশাল সুযোগ আজ আপনার সামনে। ইতিমধ্যেই বেশ কিছু ঐতিহাসিক ও প্রশাসনিক সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে আপনি আপনার দূরদর্শিতার পরিচয় দিয়েছেন। সাম্প্রতিক প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকগুলোতে বিরোধীদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে চলার এবং তাদের মতামতকে গুরুত্ব দেওয়ার যে নজির আপনি গড়তে চলেছেন, তা অত্যন্ত ইতিবাচক। আপনার এই পদক্ষেপ আমাদের মনে এক নতুন আশার আলো সঞ্চার করেছে।
