15TH ALL INDIA AIR FORCE SCHOOLS ATHLETICS AND SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 COMMENCES AT AIR FORCE STATION JALAHALLI
Bengaluru, 15 September 2026:
The 15th edition of the All India Air Force Schools Athletics and Sports Championship 2026 commenced on 15 September 2026 at Air Force Station Jalahalli. The tournament is being conducted under the aegis of the IAF Educational & Cultural Society.
Air Vice Marshal Shakti Sharma, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Education), graced the opening ceremony as Chief Guest and officially declared the championship open.
The opening ceremony commenced with the march past by Air Force Schools of seven participating teams from various Indian Air Force (IAF) Commands and Air Headquarters (Air HQ), followed by an oath-taking ceremony and a cultural program by students of Air Force School, Jalahalli.
Track events of 100m and 200m relay were conducted as opening events for the championship in front of a large gathering of students and staff. The young athletes displayed exceptional zeal, stamina, and sportsmanship.
The Chief Guest felicitated the winners. In her address, the Chief Guest lauded the efforts of both the participants and the organizers, emphasizing the pivotal role of sports in character building, leadership and fostering camaraderie. The three-day championship promises to be a celebration of young talent, team spirit and the sporting ethos of the IAF.
