Shri Harshavardhan Neotia Conferred with The Degree of Doctor of Literature by Vidyasagar University

Kolkata 8th March 2018: Shri Harshavardhan Neotia, the Chairman of Ambuja Neotia Group has been conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Literature (honoris causa) by the Vidyasagar University at the 20th Convocation ceremony of the University today.
Mr. Neotia was awarded the prestige by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Vidyasagar University Shri Ranjan Chakrabarti.

Shri Harshavardhan Neotia, the current Chairman of the AmbujaNeotia Group, was conferred with ‘Padma Shri’ by the Hon’ble President of India in 1999 for his outstanding initiative in social housing. Operating through several companies the AmbujaNeotia Group led by him covers the entire spectrum of the real estate industry including housing, hospitality, health care and education.

He was also honoured with YPO Legacy of Honour Award in 2005. He serves as the Honorary Consul of Israel in Kolkata and has held other esteemed positions such as ex-President FICCI, Senior Vice President of AIMA, a member of IIM, Shillong, the Chairman of National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research and Chancellor of The Neotia University.

Expressing his gratitude on receiving the award Shri Harshavardhan Neotia said “It’s a matter of great pride and honour to have been felicitated with such a prestigious degree. I am thankful to his Excellency the Governor of West Bengal and the Hon’ble Chancellor and the court of the University for their support and good wishes. I am conscious that with this recognition comes added responsibility and I do hope to live up to the expectations created.”
