Adyapith Secretary Bramhachary Mural Bhai, renouned Doctor Partha Sarathi Mukherjee, eminent author Sujit Bhoumik Tripura Unit president of Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Academy,Poet Ms.Sandhya Bhoumik,Educationist Anima Chakraborty, Boren Ghosh and Japanese Rabindra Sangeet Singer Dipa Das ( Cultural Sub Editor IBG NEWS) all were present at Kolkata Press Club in the evening of 11 June 2016 to remember beloved doctor and social reformer Dr. Subrata Maitra.
Doctor Maitra was not only a one of the best physician but may be the one of the greatest Doctor to care for the society specially for the under privileged.
The evening started with Nazrul song sung by Ms. Dipa Das with out any musician to accompany her.
All eminent guest on the stage was mellow down with wet eyes in the reminiscences of Doctor Maitras pro people service. Doctor Maitra was family physician of Legend Suchitra Sen,CM Mamata Banerjee, Ramakrishna Mission President and who not in that august list of fame. He was adviser to West Bengal health services.
Bramhachary Mural Bhai could not stop his tears and emotion when he started to remember Dr.Maitra and his association. Doctor Partha Sarathi Mukherjee explained how a mentor could groom a young doctor and exactly what he got from late Doctor Maitra. A spirited speech made every one spellbound.
Poet Sandhya Bhoumik recited her tribute and poetry on Late Dr. Maitra.
Mrs. Maitra wife of Doctor Maitra was also present in the occasion.
A book on Babu Jagjeeban Ram was inaugurated by Bramhachary Mural Bhai and all guest.
