Neurohackathon 1.0: India’s First-Ever Conference Uniting Doctors and Engineers for Advancements in Neuro interventional Procedures

Neurohackathon 1.0, a ground-breaking conference held for the first time in India, brought together Doctors specializing in neuro-interventions and engineers carrying out cutting-edge research on Neuro-intervention devices. This unique concept, introduced for the first time in the country, fostered collaboration and innovation at the intersection of medicine and engineering, propelling advancements in the field of neuro-intervention. The participation of the President of the Indian Stroke Association, who also delivered a compelling keynote address, added significant value to this landmark event.

Neuro-interventional procedures, known as keyhole surgeries, have transformed the landscape of brain procedures by enabling intricate interventions without the need to open the skull. Neurohackathon 1.0 highlighted the critical role played by Doctors and engineers in developing cutting-edge hardware technologies that enable minimally invasive techniques for neuro interventions.

The conference served as a platform for medical experts and research and development professionals to interact, exchange knowledge, and collaborate. Neurohackathon 1.0 witnessed dynamic discussions, where leading Doctors specializing in neuro interventions shared their invaluable insights and experiences with attending engineers. This fusion of diverse expertise will lead to the development of innovative hardware technologies that drive minimally invasive neuro-interventions.

The participation of the esteemed President of the Indian Stroke Association, a recognized authority in neuro interventional procedures, elevated the significance of Neurohackathon 1.0. Their keynote address captivated the audience, shedding light on the latest developments in the field and underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in driving innovation and improving patient outcomes.

Neurohackathon 1.0 marked a significant milestone in the Indian medical landscape and propelled India’s position as a hub for innovative healthcare solutions. The conference set the stage for further advancements and collaborative endeavors that will continue to shape the future of neuro interventions in the country.

Dr. Kaushik Sundar, Consultant – Neurology said, “We are delighted to announce the resounding success of Neurohackathon 1.0, a groundbreaking event that brought together experts, researchers, and enthusiasts from the field of neuroscience. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who made this event possible and contributed to its triumph.”

Dr. Gigy Kuruttukulam, President – of the Indian Stroke Association said, “It was truly a groundbreaking concept, providing a platform for rich and professionally rewarding interactions: between experts from the neuro interventional industry and doctors. The event showcased the immense potential of collaboration and innovation in advancing the field. It was indeed my pleasure to attend as faculty the 1st Neurohackathon at Kolkatta. I am sure the attendees learned a lot regarding both old and new hardware in Neurovascular Intervention. The concept is new and fresh and this should be made an annual feature.”

Mr. Abhijit CP, Facility Director RN Tagore Hospital told: “This kind of program is important to create awareness in the Neuro Fraternity so that the same percolates to the population and ultimately people get the benefits.”

Mr. R Venkatesh – Group COO of Narayana Health said, “We are proud to have witnessed the inaugural Neurohackathon 1.0, which brought together distinguished Doctors to foster collaboration and innovation in the field of neuro intervention. This conference has exemplified the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, highlighting the critical role played by Doctors in developing cutting-edge hardware technologies for minimally invasive neuro interventions.”
