48 COACHES AUGMENTED WITH 29 RAKES OF 22 POPULAR EXPRESS TRAINS

The augmentation of different types of coaches in Popular Mail/Express trains is an ongoing initiative aimed at improving overall travel experience for passengers. In a significant move to meet the growing passenger demand and enhance the overall travel experience, Eastern Railway has successfully augmented 48 coaches with 29 rakes of 22 popular Mail/Express trains, including General Second Class, General Second Class Seating, Sleeper Class, AC-3 Tier, AC-3 Tier Economy, AC-2 Tier, and AC-1st Class, across 22 popular Mail/Express trains on a permanent basis between April 2024 and September 2024, providing much-needed capacity for travelers on these high-demand routes.
