Balochistan Vision Statement Calls for Peace, Religious Freedom and Recognition
Message Highlights Aspirations for Coexistence, Protection of Sacred Places and National Self-Determination

July 22: A statement circulating on social media from Baloch nationalist circles has presented a vision of a future Balochistan founded on religious harmony, human dignity and peaceful coexistence. The message, attributed to Baloch nationalist leader Hyrbyair Marri, describes Balochistan as an ancient cradle of civilization and outlines aspirations for an independent state built on tolerance and mutual respect.
The statement portrays Balochistan as a land where temples, mosques, gurdwaras and churches are regarded not as symbols of division, but as shared pillars of peace, trust and humanity. It emphasizes that while places of worship may differ, the values of compassion and human dignity remain universal.
According to the message, the Baloch struggle is described as extending beyond political aspirations to include the protection of religious institutions and the freedom of all communities to practice their faith without fear. The statement asserts that safeguarding sacred places is essential to preserving the principles of civilization and humanity.
The message further argues that recognition of Balochistan as an independent nation would represent more than a territorial change. It presents such recognition as a symbol of liberation from hatred, prejudice and oppression, envisioning a society where people of every religion and background can live together peacefully and worship freely.
Looking ahead, the statement pledges to build a future founded on peace, prosperity, equality and respect for diversity. It expresses the hope that future generations will remember Balochistan as a nation that embraces coexistence and serves as an example of religious tolerance and human values.
The social media post also tagged several Indian leaders and institutions, including the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, although no official response had been issued at the time of publication.
