Bhubaneswar, 12th March 2025: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar is gearing up to host the Conclave on Menstrual Health and Hygiene on Menstrual Hygiene Day to be observed on 28th May 2025. The conclave will be jointly organized by IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park (IITBBS REP), UNICEF, ActionLab 2050 (AL2050) Foundation, and the Odisha Menstruation Health and Hygiene (OMHH) Alliance. Prior to the event, the website of the Conclave was launched on 8th March 2025.
Through this initiative, the organising institutions aim to build a sustainable and inclusive ecosystem that connects academic research, community practices, and policy advocacy to make meaningful strides in improving Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) across Odisha.
The conclave will serve as a dynamic platform for sharing knowledge, fostering discussions, and driving action toward improving menstrual health and hygiene practices. It will bring together a diverse group of experts, advocates, healthcare professionals, social workers, and individuals directly affected by menstrual health issues to collaborate on practical solutions for enhancing education and access to menstrual hygiene facilities.
Additionally, this initiative will feature innovation hackathons and outreach programs in the future to further these objectives.
